Caitlin is a developmental psychologist who studies how everyday experiences of young children matter for building knowledge.
Jenny Mendoza is a doctoral student in developmental psychology who studies music perception and cognition, exploring questions related to how children’s early musical experiences impact their learning and development in other domains.
Heather is a doctoral student who studies how parent-child interactions influence the development of language and executive functioning over time. She is particularly interested in the language and strategies parents use to guide their children through “everyday tasks” like grooming, mealtime, and book-reading – things that can be challenging for a young child.
Jessica Kosie studies event processing in infants, children, and adults. She is interested in how processing novel and familar actions may differ and how these change with learning. She is also interested in how adults tailor their actions and gestures to facilitate infants’ and children’s learning.
Christine is a 2017 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She hopes to attend graduate school to study early language development, and is particularly interested in investigating the brain bases of developmental dyslexia.
Kelly is a 2017 graduate of UO. She is interested in a variety of areas in the field of psychology and is very excited to gain hands-on research experience in the Learning Lab.
Cayla is a 2017 graduate of the UO. She plans to continue to explore her interests in counseling and developmental psychology in graduate school. She is especially interested in the relationships within families and how these relationships change over time.
Aiko is a freshman double majoring in human physiology and psychology. She wants to go into neuroscience and work in a lab. She is in the sorority Gamma Phi Beta, enjoys working with others, and is excited to be able to work hands on in a psychology lab.
Max is a senior undergraduate student in Human Physiology, with minors in Psychology and Chemistry. He is interested in how children grow, develop, and learn in their own ways. He plans to pursue a career as a pediatrician to further help families and kids. He is the captain of the rowing team at U of O, and enjoys volunteering for SMART and Food for Lane County.
Kylee DeLong is a Junior Studying Communication Disorder Sciences at the UO. She is interested in language learning across stages of development and plans to attend graduate school for Speech-Language Pathology.
Sophie is a sophomore undergraduate in Psychology with a minor in Spanish and Russian. She enjoys taking walks with her dogs, playing tennis, and going on hikes. One day she would like to work with children in a hospital setting as a psychologist.
Keelan is a freshman undergraduate who plans on double majoring in Physics and English. She plays guitar in a band, and is particularly interested in merging her passion for music with scientific research. She loves music, literature, math, space and dogs.
Kirstin is a senior undergraduate student in psychology. She is interested in hiking, eclipse-chasing, yoga and education. She plans to attend graduate school for integral counseling psychology.
Allysia is a junior undergraduate student studying psychology. She is interested in the social aspects of human development and hopes to pursue that in graduate school. She is honored to be part of the lab and gain research experience.

Juliette is a freshman undergraduate student studying sociology and psychology. Her dream is to study developmental psychology in children from different cultures. She enjoys dancing, traveling, listening to music, pottery, and playing soccer and tennis.
Allison is a senior undergraduate student in the Clark Honors College majoring in biology with a neuroscience emphasis and a minor in chemistry. She is interested in early language acquisition and bilingualism. She also enjoys studying the neural basis and development of learning and memory with an interdisciplinary approach.

She is interested in computational cognitive development and the use of programming in brain and behavioral simulation. She is excited to observe music as an auditory stimulant in early childhood development during her time in the lab.
Sabrina is a senior undergraduate student in psychology. She is interested in the early development of social skills, especially those emphasizing empathy and cohabitation.

She is interested in early language acquisition in bilingual children and aspires to become a speech language pathologist. Jennie is interested in cultural psychology and the role the environment plays in shaping human development and behavior.
Megan is a senior undergraduate student in psychology with a minor in english. She is especially interested in language acquisition and cognitive development, and plans to pursue a career as a physician assistant to work with kids.

Drew Colbert is a junior undergraduate student who is currently majoring in human physiology. He plans on going further into research and plans to study concussions and brain injuries. In his free time, he enjoys playing baseball and watching sports.
