Ph.D. Student

Kayla is a Ph.D. student who studies musical and linguistic development. She is particularly interested in how environmental musical experience impacts infant vocalizations. Outside of the lab, Kayla enjoys playing with her puppy, cooking, and writing and listening to music.

Undergraduate Student

Lara is an undergraduate student majoring in Psychology and minoring in Criminology. Lara loves working with kids. In her free time, she loves volunteering, reading, and hanging out with her dogs and sister.

Moriyah Brown

Moriyah is an undergraduate student double majoring in Psychology and Music. Moriyah enjoys studying music and its relation to mental health. After college, she plans on attending grad school to become a child/adolescent psychologist. In her free time, Moriyah is part of UO’s running club and enjoys reading, making music, and spending time outdoors.

Lily is an undergraduate student majoring in Psychology and plans to continue her education in graduate school, pursuing a career in social work or as a mental health and well-being counselor. In her spare time, Lily enjoys reading, watching films, thrifting, and exploring Oregon.

Andrew Curlett

Andrew is an undergraduate student double majoring in Neuroscience and Human Physiology. Outside of UO, Andrew enjoys nature walks, hiking, listening to music, and sports (Go Seahawks) and will discuss anything sports related if you’re up for a long conversation. In the future, Andrew hopes to attend medical school.

Ian is an undergraduate student majoring in Psychology. He plans on attending graduate school on the path to becoming a clinical psychologist. In his free time, Ian loves to listen to music, read, and build puzzles.

Eliza is an undergraduate student majoring in Psychology. She hopes to attend graduate school for either developmental psychology or forensic psychology in the future. In her free time, Eliza enjoys traveling, dancing, reading, and spending time with her friends and family.

Shruti is an undergraduate student majoring in Neuroscience, part of the Clark Honors College, and minoring in Chemistry. Shruti hopes to become a surgeon, specializing in pediatric surgery or neurosurgery. Beyond the lab, Shruti enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, studying, and volunteering in the community.
