Jenny Mendoza is a doctoral student in developmental psychology who studies music perception and cognition, exploring questions related to how children’s early musical experiences impact their learning and development in other domains.

Rose studies language acquisition and is interested in characterizing the structure available in linguistic input to children. She conducts corpus analyses and also uses behavioral studies in the lab to test the viability and utility of proposed mechanisms for learning language patterns.

Jessica Kosie studies event processing in infants, children, and adults. She is interested in how processing novel and familar actions may differ and how these change with learning. She is also interested in how adults tailor their actions and gestures to facilitate infants’ and children’s learning.
